aspherical

i-Medical® intraocular lenses (IOLs) are surgical implants made from a high-quality biocompatible material designed to substitute the human lens. They are manufactured, ground and surface-treated from one piece.

i-Medical® OVERVIEW AS aspherical IOLs are manufactured in the sharp-edge design to reduce or prevent clouding of the remaining capsular bag with cell proliferation (after-cataract). Furthermore, these IOLs have a UV blocker to reduce the high-energy light in the ultraviolet light spectrum. i-Medical® OVERVIEW AS posterior chamber intraocular lenses also compensate for spherical aberration of the cornea. Thanks to the superior manufacturing process, this intraocular lens is biostable and free from vacuoles (no pearl formation). Tackiness inhibiting technology (TIT) is used on the front surface to ensure perfect unfolding. i-Medical® OVERVIEW AS, thanks to its special manufacturing technology, has a natural blue light filter similar to that of the eye of a 40-year-old.

The light can be extracted using extracapsular methods and/or by means of phacoemulsification. The monofocal foldable IOL made from hydrophobic acrylic is available from 0.0 to 35.0 dioptres in increments of 0.5. The optical quality and dioptre strength of each individual IOL is checked individually.
